Using folder permissions in Signature 365

Use folder permissions to limit which teammates can view or edit specific Signature 365 folders, and combine them with custom roles.

Use Folder Permissions to limit access to specific folders in Signature 365. When combined with Role-based access control in Signature 365, you can give teammates access to only the areas they need.

Folder Permissions are set to Everyone by default and must be configured by a tenant administrator.

Note
Folder Permissions cannot be controlled by non-administrative users. The Folder Permissions function cannot be assigned to non-administrative users with custom roles.

For example, you can grant a marketing user access to only the campaigns component within a folder by combining folder permissions and a custom role.

To set permissions on a folder, right-click the folder and select Permissions from the dropdown menu.

Note
Only users with permissions on the Home folder are able to use the All Signatures option for assigning campaigns or disclaimers

The following options are available for folder permissions:

  • Inherit inherits all permissions from the parent folder.
  • None allows access only to administrators. Administrators always have access to all folders.
  • Everyone allows all teammates to access this folder.
  • Specific teammates allows access only to the selected teammates.

Folders will display depending on the user's  permissions on the Home folder: :br:br Home folder accessible:

Home folder inaccessible:

When folder access is restricted, users without access will still see the folder, but it will appear greyed out and locked.
